before i forget that i actually went for a holiday, this is my entry about my uk/london trip ! (shall upload pics next time)
left singapore on the night of 20th october 08. with papa and mummy.. took the new A380 Singapore Airlines ! the take off and landing was very smooth
reached london on tuesday morning.. jet lagged la. had to carry jie jie's bag of things (food..etc) to her apartment.. walked a good 15,20mins and the bag was HEAVY . the only consolation was i dint really care how i looked cause i was in a foreign country ma.
watched arsenal match at the hotel pub at night.. drank beer beer ! wa during the holiday EVERYDAY i ate english breakfast.. which was bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, coffee/tea.. realised their food has lots of carbo ? bread and sandwiches.. then dunno why i drank quite a lot of beer too.. their meals are really complete, unlike in singapore. there is always a starter, main course, dessert then coffee/tea and maybe wine. ate lots of restaurant meals during the uk trip..
we went for jie jie's graduation ceremony on the 22nd oct. first time all of us wear suites! quite funny.. then went to royal albert hall.. its really quite a grand thing, the place. which makes the ceremony seem more important. they even had a choir and mini band ! but waiting to see jie jie shake the persons hand.. damn long la ! there were so many people graduating.. and it was hard to keep awake at one point. well jiejie got FIRST class honours.. congrats smarty pants ! ( doesnt mean your smarter than me)
after the ceremony, we went for the small reception.. ate some cakes and tarts. then some imperial college students interviewed papa and jiejie ! and then took a picture of us that ended up on their website.. cool ! damn funny.. my mum a bit sad she wasnt in the picture.

thursday(23 oct) i went to the arsenal shop at the arsenal stadium.. bought lots of stuff ! spent like $300++ altogether.. madness.. then we all had a big dinner with nigel bauer and his wife.. my parents long time friend (thru work) . they were really very good hosts ! fetched us from our hotel by taxi. and treated all of us to dinner.
friday. went around london.. knightsbridge, harrods. piccadilly circus, leceister square. ate dinner with alex (jiejie bf) family at chinatown.. chi food ! then watched movie (righteous kill) with papa.
sat. i did some shopping alone.. bought some nice clothes ! and they were really quite cheap.. happy happy. then i ate lunch at macs alone.. some stranger sat with me and talk to me.. hahaa he say that he just got sacked from his part time job ? then went to nike tennis clothes at niketown @ oxford street !! we had a nice dinner too. sashimi, salmon, dessert! good family chat.
then jiejie zao-ed first.. and we watched the sound of music musical. which was very good.. funny, nice plot and good singing! according to auntie noemi, last time when i was very young, i watched the sound of music tape till it spoiled ! it was nice listening to some of the songs again.. like the doe a deer a female deer, then rae a sunlight?? the do ra me fa so la ti do song , cant remember the exact lyrics. pretty/charming actresses.
sun. went to watch arsenal match with papa ! arsenal vs west ham @ upton park. arsenal won 2-0 ! adebayor with one goal, and another was an own goal.. the west ham fans were quite ENTHU.. though sometimes it seemed like they expect a lot from the team.. haha sat among them.. tried to act like a neutral fan. it was fun though.. met jie jie and alex at night and had dinner + beer/drinks ! haha chit chat more.. jie jie bf ma..
monday 27oct08. the start of our 6 days 5 nights tour around UK ! went to wales, many small towns and villages, castles, cathedrals/churches, scotland, cambridge. the tour people were mostly adults.. some quite old.. late 40s, 50s. and majority were australians. i dint do much shopping though cause we visited small towns mostly.. mummy just bought lots of small souvenirs.
the great thing was i had a hotel room alone to myself, throughout the 5nights !! SUPER SHIOK. had really good sleep... damn ddamn damn damn happy la.. quite fun.. just eating,eating.. relax.
watched a scottish guy play the bagpipes too. visited the britannia ship (last royal yatch) where queen elizabeth spent a lot of time, last time. princess diana and prince charles also used the yatch occasionally. quite grand for a 50yr old ship? but now its just for tourists, docked at scotland, edinburgh.
oh ya throughout the trip, the temperature was REALLY COLD! like single digit? really unusual at the time.. like early winter! and dint happen for a long time, in UK. the scenery around UK was very nice too.. big mountains and large lakes.
zoom zoom and it was sat (1 nov) , last day of my holiday. back to singapore !
though the entry sounds boring.. (like writing for the sake of writing)..
the trip was really good !! i bought lots of clothes.. normally i don't shop so much... bought arsenal stuff ! watched arsenal match.. went for jie jie's graduation! catch up as a family.. really relax and just enjoy.. away from singapore and army.. good break. couldn't ask for more ! (maybe should have shopped more!) lol..
sometimes papa mummy a bit blur/irritating though.. well it was all good in the end !
thinking back sometimes i get quite impatient with them..
and its like i shouldnt !
i'm very comfortable as it is.. what i want, most likely i can get..
example ------> PLAYSTATION 3 !!!!
which i made papa spend $1190 altogether. including games and accessories.
really madness. considered that i demanded it as my birthday present
SPOILT BRAT hahaha ! i need to study hard in uni ! (where there are so many distractions)
i don't want to disappoint. and i hope its never too late
